Ru d'Arlaz: Challand-Saint-Anselme

Presentation

An 11km itinerary through woods, quaint villages, meadows, including some incredible panoramic viewpoints overlooking the valley once ruled by the noble Challant family, over the ruins of Graines Castle, the sanctuary dedicated to Saint Anna and also Lake Villa nature reserve; this is a brief summary of the pathway flanking ancient “Ru d’Arlaz” irrigation channel. Today it still provides the water required to irrigate local crops in that it flows across a large part of Valle d’Ayas.

Being quite level and very wide with numerous stopping points, this itinerary is particularly suitable for families, in addition, a fitness course has been set up within the borough of Challant-Saint-Anselme with 15 “stations” where you can stop, have fun, and hopefully get into shape!
